ISTORIJAT ZGRADE UPRAVE

Gradska kuća u Vršcu (Magistrat) se nalazi na Trgu pobede 1, podignuta je 1860. godine za potrebe administracije gradskog Magistrata. Predstavlјa spomenik kulture u kategoriji nepokretnih kulturnih dobara od velikog značaja.

Po sačuvanoj dokumentaciji gradio ju je građevinar Sigismund Kiler, preduzimač je bio Franc Brandajs, plan i predračun izradio je C. K. Mernik, asistent i nadzorni organ gradnje bio je Vilјem Biher. Građena je od tvrdog materijala, sa stilskim obeležjima neogotike, osnovom na tri fronta – glavnom fasadom okrenutom prema Trgu pobede i bočnim krilima. Glavna i bočna fasada prema parku istih su rešenja, ali je glavna fasada asimetrična. Ima naglašen centralni rizalit sa tri ulaza u prizemnom delu i balkon sa dekorativnim gotskim konzolama i kamenom ogradom u spratnom delu. Sprat rizalita glavne i bočne fasade izdelјen je plitkim lizenama na tri dela. Iznad središnjeg dela nalazi se gotski oblikovan zabat sa grbom grada u kružnom polјu, dok bočni delovi imaju venac gotskih arkada i atiku sa gotskim prepletom. Prozori su pravougaonog oblika, na ugaonim rizalitima i središnjem delu centralnog rizalita udvojeni. U temelјe zgrade uzidana je povelјa i spomenica na latinskom, nemačkom i srpskom jeziku. U unutrašnjosti objekta, u glavnom holu prizemlјa, na tavanicama iznad stepeništa i u svečanim salama na spratu, nalazi se slikana dekoracija nastala krajem 19. veka. Danas se u zgradi nalazi Gradska uprava Grada Vršca i Skupština grada Vršac.

Konzervatorski radovi rađeni su 1987–1988, 1995, 2002–2003. i 2005. godine.


HISTORY OF THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING

Town Hall in Vrsac (Magistrat), placed at No.1 Victory Sqaure, was built in the 1860 for the needs of the City Magistrate administration. It represents a cultural monument in the category of immovable cultural property of great importance.

According to the preserved documentation it was built by Sigismund Kuller, construction worker, contractor was Franz Brandeis, plan and calculation was made by C. K. Mernik, assistant and supervisory authority of works was William Biher. It was built of hard material with the neo-Gothic style features, with the base on three fronts – the main facade facing the Victory square and the side wings. The main facade and the side one facing the park are the same solutions, but the main facade is asymmetrical. It has highlighted central projection with three entrances on the ground floor and the balcony with decorative Gothic consoles and a stone fence on the floor area. Floor projection on the main and side facades is divided by shallow pilaster strips into three parts. Above the central part there is gothic shaped pediment with the coat of arms in a circular field, while the side parts have a range of gothic arcades and the attic with Gothic tracery. The windows are rectangular, on corner projections and on the central part of the central projection they are doubled. The charters and memorials in Latin, German and Serbian language ar built in the foundation of the building. Inside the building, in the main hall of the ground floor, on the ceiling above the grand staircase and in the halls on the first floor, there is a painted decoration created in the late 19th century. Today, the building houses the the City Administration of the City of Vrsac and the the City Assembly of Vrsac.
